Essential oils - magic drops with great effect

Aromatherapy is a holistic healing method that has been used for thousands of years for many purposes – mainly to relieve stress, to relax and to balance body and soul.
It’s a wonderful way against anxiety and to calm our nervous system. The fragrant oils can be easily used at home.

Both through our sense of smell, as well as through our skin, the beneficial scents are absorbed and unfold their healing effects.
Certain essential oils can even be used as nutritional supplements.

The little miracle drops are particularly good for

 promote sleep
 improve mood
lower the heart rate and blood pressure

 and deepen breathing

Aromatherapy - the second path

Which essential oils help to calm down?

There are a variety of calming oils that can have a relaxing effect on our nervous system. Some of the most popular are lavender, rose, bergamot, neroli, clary sage, orange, mandarin, ylang-ylang, patchouli, chamomile and jasmine.

Before you buy a new oil, I recommend smelling the testers to see if it is “your” fragrance. What smells wonderful to one person may be rather unpleasant to another. You usually only need a few drops of the magic oils.

What is the best way to use the oils?

A very simple variant is to put the oils into a diffuser, which you fill with water and a few drops of the oil.

A very effective method is a rubbing or massage with a skin oil that is mixed with a few drops of one or more essential oils. The magic mixture works particularly well by rubbing it on the soles of the feet, on the back of the neck, on the solar plexus (the centre of the body, below the chest, in the stomach area), or on the palms of the hands. At the same time, you can form your hands into a small bowl and breathe deeply.

A pleasant, warm bath, either a full body or a foot bath, also has a relaxing effect and the oils are absorbed through the skin and through the rising vapours. It is important to mix a few drops with milk, cream or honey and add them to the bath water. 5 drops are usually enough for a full bath.

Aromatherapy can be wonderfully combined with breathing therapy, yoga and other relaxation techniques.
Relax and enjoy discovering your senses!
